NAP 500
| Our design brief for the NAP 500 required an amplifier that could drive any load down to 2 Ohms for prolonged periods, deliver over 100W into 8 Ohms and sound - at the very least - as good as our reference at the time, the NAP135.
To avoid the compromises implied by the use of multiple sets of output devices, either in totem-pole or parallel configurations, the search was on for a very special output transistor. A bipolar transistor with a specification combination of very high current, power rating and bandwidth was needed, far in excess of anything available to Naim before. A suitable output device was eventually developed after six years` collaboration with a semiconductor manufacturer.

NAP 300
| After seventeen successful years at the top of Naim`s amplifier range, the NAP 135 has been eclipsed by the flagship NAP 500. Many years of research went into the NAP 500, as fundamentally new components and technologies had to be perfected before Naim could raise the performance level. Many of these technical developments, along with the elegant new styling have been applied to the mighty NAP 300.
Like the flagship Naim NAP 500, the NAP 300 is a stereo two-chassis amplifier, one box containing the audio amplifier and the second housing the individually regulated power supply. Improved earthing arrangements have resulted in an entirely new circuit topology built on a very high quality, anti-resonance main audio circuit board. The NAP 300 uses the same 007 transistors that were custom-designed for the NAP 500. | |

Like the flagship NAP 500, the NAP 200 uses a new circuit design with improved earthing arrangements built on a very high quality, anti-resonance main audio circuit board.

APV 145
| During the years of research that went into the flagship NAP 500, many technical developments came about that have been successfully applied to the NAPV 145. Based around the circuit topology of the latest NAP 250, the NAPV 145 provides even greater dynamic capabilities and enhanced audio performance, resulting in the perfect solution for high quality multi-channel or active audio systems
Like the NAP 500, the NAPV 145 uses a new circuit design with improved earthing arrangements, built on a high quality, anti-resonance main audio circuit board. It uses the same 007 transistors that were custom-designed for the NAP 500. These outstanding components each provide up to 80 Amps and 350 Watts, negating the need to use parallel pairs of transistors (which always have a negative effect on sound). Additional 007 transistors are used in the fully regulated power supply, ensuring the best performance.

NAP 6-50
| The multi-room NAP 6-50 provides six channels of Naim quality amplification for users installing multi-room systems. To integrate into such systems it provides a low power standby mode, control line input or signal sensing to ‘wake up’ out of standby mode, the ability to drive long and varied speaker cables, and electronically controlled fan cooling.
Each of the six power amplifier sections is a version of the new circuitry developed for the NAP500. Each two-channel zone uses a separate power supply with its own transformer winding.
