ATC has been pre-eminent in multi-channel mastering since being chosen for the scoring stages of such West Coast facilities as Todd AO, Paramount, Warner and others.

Multi Channel monitoring was then the preserve of the film industry, but with recent advances in surround sound consumer formats such as DVD the special multi channel qualities of ATC monitoring are being appreciated by facilities and engineers working in this exciting new environment.

From the outset the design philosophy of ATC monitoring has paid special attention to the creation of an accurate reverberant field, which not only sets ATC apart from most other monitor manufacturers but is the key to being able to precisely recreate spatial information in 5 or more channels as well as two channel stereo.

The ATC design philosophy is consistent across all ATC monitors bringing a tremendous practical advantage; with ATC monitoring it is absolutely no problem to mix monitor types for multi channel. No more the necessity of having five monitors all identical to front left and front right. Rather the monitors can be selected to best use the available space in the studios.

ATC monitoring systems are built without compromise utilising drive units designed and constructed by ATC to provide monitoring capabilities always in advance of the format requirements.
